On Tuesday, June 11th, over 200 hundred community leaders, media, and supporters of Family Voices of Tennessee attended Popped!; a pop-up restaurant event held at Nashville's newest event venue, Clementine.
During Popped!, four of Nashville's best chefs were paired with a deserving family served by Family Voices of Tennessee. Based on the family's heritage and story, four courses of unique and inspired dishes were presented to guests throughout the night.
The evening's courses included:
- Appetizer Course: Persian Spiced Risotto with Crispy Saffron Rice and Sumac, prepared by Chef Gerard Craft of Pastaria
- Salad Course: Mustard Greens, whipped feta, verjus, currant, hibiscus and berries prepared by Chef Joey Molteni of Hathorne
- Entrée Course: Shrimp Moilee with “Indian-ish” Mac & Cheese and Kurkure prepared by Corporate Chef Tom Eckert of Chaatable. Recipe developed by Celebrity Chef Maneet Chauhan.
- Desert Course: Cinnamon Ganache, Kuchen Apple & Honey Sponge, Roasted Banana Diplomat Garnished with White Chocolate Honey Comb, Brown Sugar Meringue, Chocolate Mint and Micros prepared by Executive Chef David Harker & Executive Pastry Chef Ashleigh Wright of Omni Hotels & Resorts Nashville
Proceeds raised during Popped! will be used to support families of children with special healthcare needs, chronic illnesses, and disabilities.
