Guests gathered on Friday, September 28 to celebrate Williamson County’s rich history of bootlegging at the eighth annual Bootlegger’s Bash, hosted by co-chairs Leigh Bawcom and Bess and Tim Kearns, on behalf of the Battle of Franklin Trust.
It was a perfect Fall evening at Carnton as more than 300 attendees sipped whiskey in the garden from a variety of local distillers, including H. Clark Distillery, Tenn South Distillery, Corsair Artisans, Leiper’s Fork Distillery, and Stillhouse Spirits Co. Chad Street Band played lively music after guests mingled and were served a Southern dinner catered by Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. The menu included a whole hog roast, coleslaw, green beans, homemade chips and an array of pies for dessert.
All proceeds from the event will fund the renovation of the springhouse at Carnton.
