On Thursday, December 13th, the Nashville Ballet held their annual Ballet Ball Patrons' Party at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
This year was especially memorable as it marked both the 30th anniversary of the ball and the 20th anniversary of Paul Vasterling as artistic director of Nashville Ballet.
Guests enjoyed a performance gala with music courtesy of the Nashville Symphony Orchestra followed by a seated dinner at the War Memorial Auditorium.
The end of the evening was not without a few surprises as Paul Vasterling's 20th Anniversary co-chairs revealed a proclamation from Mayor Briley's office declaring December 13, 2018 as Paul Vasterling Day.
They also announced that a portrait of Paul would be hung in the Paul Vasterling Lobby of the Martin Center for Nashville Ballet. The evening commenced with the presentation of a $200,000 check toward the brand new Paul Vasterling Artistic Fund in the Endowment.
