Early Aspirations
Home videos of me as a young child are embarrassing! I took a chance by starting this career in 2016 and since then, I have worked with companies including global fashion and lifestyle brands, tourism boards and everything in between. As a Nashville native, sharing local businesses has always been important to me, and I love when my followers discover new brands and shop small where they can. I have always taken an authentic approach to my content, and I love connecting with women who are looking for a trusted source for fashion, motherhood, everyday life and more. I asked my parents, and they described me as a “creative old soul” as a child. I don’t have siblings, which led me to find ways to entertain myself and get creative. My mom has an inspiring story and has always led with her intuition when making business decisions. My dad is more of a planner and thrives with structure while my mom is more free-flowing and creative. I see more and more of my parents in myself as I get further into my career.
Challenges Faced
When I first started in 2016 there weren’t too many resources available. I spent most of my time explaining what an influencer was and how we could work with brands. Now more brands are open to influencer marketing and finding ambassadors who are the right fit. Today, most challenges have to do with finding a balance. I am an Enneagram 3 through and through, and I get so much fulfillment from work. I have had to set boundaries when it comes to rest and shutting down for the day because I truly love what I do. Quality family time is the most important thing to me, and I make that a priority every day.
The Definition of Success
My version of success right now looks like quality time with my husband Cameron and our one-year-old son Remy, chasing our dreams and making memories together. It also looks like inspiring women by living my own version of success. Until I really defined what that was to me personally, I felt like I was always chasing the next milestone without stopping to enjoy my accomplishments.
Work Perks
Connecting with women from all over the world and creating content for brands are two things that I never take for granted. Another huge blessing that has come from my job is working alongside my husband Cameron. He is a professional photographer and has been an integral part of my business since day one. We find so much joy in both doing what we love, and now we get to include our son Remy. Our big focus right now is the launch of two new brands: Premo Presets and an accessory and lifestyle brand called Premonition Goods (launching early next year). Both of these brands are heavily inspired by love of travel and adventure, yet grounded by family and our hometown of Nashville.
