Being a real estate agent isn’t always fun; it is a lot of hard work behind the scenes that makes a transaction smooth. It is about knowing how to negotiate. It is about protecting the client’s best interests. It is about having all of the team players at bat ready to take a contract through to closing.
A typical day for me starts with coffee and emails to clients and customers. The real meat of the day starts when I get to show houses or help someone get their house ready for the market. In the business for 22 years, I started out in real estate by owning a moving company that moved people into their homes and, then, set them up in their houses within three days. That spilled into staging which led me into residential sales. My favorite part of the selling process is getting the house in the right condition to sell. For the buying process, I show all of the properties myself. I go by the mantra: “My clients hired ME to help them, not an assistant.”
I enjoy the hard work that a career in real estate demands. I relish the moment my Buyers and Sellers get to the closing table. I look forward to their smiles and sense of relief that the process was made easier because I was there to guide, protect, and advise. I am a real estate agent, and I am proud to be able to say that I work hard to be the kind of person people want to work with and one in whom my clients can trust and believe.
