I am a loud and opinionated Boston Celtics fan.
WHAT IS AN ORGANIZATION YOU’RE AFFILIATED WITH AND WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO YOU?
I am in awe of the Nashville YWCA and Sharon Roberson, its president and CEO. They offer an incredible range of programs and projects to further their mission of empowering women and eliminating racism, including domestic violence education and services, social justice advocacy, and even preparing Tennesseans to earn a High School Equivalency Degree. I’m especially excited about the new pet shelter they have built on the campus of the Weaver Domestic Violence Center, so that people and their beloved pets can escape abuse together.
WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF BEAUTY?
I think beauty comes from a sense of purpose mixed with humor; drive mixed with a basic human tenderness.
