WHO HAS MADE THE GREATEST IMPACT ON YOUR LIFE?
No question, my parents. They made me who I am today. They’ve always made sure that I presented myself well and I was always well-educated— not just with books, but socially. And my wife, who accepts me and encourages me to be who I am.
WHAT ACCOMPLISHMENT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF? I think I’m in it right now.
I’m proud of creating this restaurant from nothing and adding authentic Cuban representation to the food scene by bringing the food that I grew up eating in my house to Nashville.
WHAT IS YOUR DEFINITION OF BEAUTY?
People exude beauty by the way they carry themselves: the way they walk, the way they talk. When people have confidence, they shine; they glow. Beauty can be found in anyone.
A QUOTE YOU LIVE BY:
“You never know what will be the consequence of the misfortune; or, you never know what will be the consequence of good fortune.” —Alan Watts I’ve learned you never know what’s going to come from things that happen. Good or bad, there’s a reason why things are happening. You have to be patient to see what the world has for you.
