On Saturday, May 11, more than 30,000 racegoers gathered at Percy Warner Park for the Iroquois Steeplechase, the annual rite of spring and Nashville's grand tradition.
Attendees dressed in their best attire and adorned chic hats, watched the horse races, and had loads of fun tailgating. Family-friendly activities included a horse stick race for the kiddos and watching the parade of hounds. Nashville Lifestyles was a sponsor of the Royal 615 Lounge which featured a bubbles bar, tunes from stellar DJs, creative craft cocktails at the cash bar, delicious food truck fare, and front-row seats to the races.
"We are thrilled to have witnessed another unforgettable Iroquois Steeplechase," says Dwight Hall, chairman of the Iroquois Steeplechase. “The caliber of top-rated horses we have attracted truly solidifies the Iroquois Steeplechase’s legacy as a premier destination for steeplechase events in the nation.”
The day marked a historic three-peat for ten-year-old racehorse Snap Decision, who secured a third overall victory in the prestigious event. The annual event is a large supporter of several philanthropic causes and benefited Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
