Earlier this week, singer/songwriter Russell Dickerson teamed up with Chevrolet to gift 17-year-old Sarah Frei a brand new wheelchair-accessible SUV.
On July 30, 2020, Sarah was hit head-on by a drunk driver. The tragic accident left her paralyzed from the waist down and she had to have both of her legs amputated.
Sarah is a huge fan of Russell Dickerson, so while she was recovering in the hospital her school's cheerleading squad created a dance routine to her favorite song "Home Sweet." Dickerson took notice and shared his support for Sarah on social media in September. He continued to keep Sarah in his thoughts and teamed up with Chevrolet to surprise Sarah with a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse that has been outfitted for her specific needs.
