On December 3, The Vanderbilt Comprehensive Care Clinic hosted its annual Ruby Gala at Marathon Music Works.
The gala featured a live performance by DOZZI, Nashville’s dynamic trio of Australian sisters, as well as live and silent auctions. The event raised funds to support those living with HIV in Nashville and Middle Tennessee.
Guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and dancing at the event featuring décor by Walker Wyatt Florals. Highlights of the gala, planned by Kelse Beeri of Konrad Company, included the presentation of the annual Raffanti Award, honoring a community member who has made substantial contributions to those living with HIV in Nashville, to the Rev. Edwin Sanders II, as well as the keynote speech by VCCC client Benjy Russell.
Funds raised from The Ruby Gala directly benefit patients of the Comprehensive Care Clinic, to cover such necessities as transportation, nutrition, dental care, among other needs. Funds will also help recruit and train future HIV specialists at a time when the U.S. faces a critical shortage.
