The Tennessee chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society recently hosted its Light The Night awards reception with Charles 'Chip” Esten of 'Nashville” at the Grand Ole Opry. The reception celebrated the fundraising efforts of Light The Night Walk's top fundraisers, sponsors and volunteer leadership.
Esten, whose daughter Addie is a leukemia survivor, delivered remarks and presented awards to this year's recipients, and Sam Green, who is an acute myeloma leukemia survivor, shared his story with attendees. Light The Night Walk participants raised more than $1 million for the 16th annual Light The Night Walk, which was held in October. Walk teams consisted of families, friends, and employees of large and small companiesand all are dedicated to raising funds and to honoring and bringing hope to people battling cancer in communities throughout the United States and Canada.
Sarah Cannon was the Presenting Sponsor for the 2015 Light The Night Walk, and BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee was the Awards Reception sponsor for the night.
