On Saturday, November 9, Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee's largest nonprofit law firm, held its 50th Anniversary Celebration at the Frist Art Museum.
The event drew more than 250 supporters of the legal nonprofit and raised $79,500 to assist with its mission of providing free and low-cost legal services to low-income residents across Middle Tennessee.
Some donations from the event will fund specific needs for the Legal Aid Society, including the firm's work with domestic violence victims, seniors combating fraudulent scams and low-income people seeking medical care.
Sponsors of the event included Baker Donelson, Bradley, the Nashville Bar Foundation, Neal & Harwell, Lee Danner & Bass, Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison, Waller, Asurion, Lipscomb, SunTrust, Vanderbilt, American Business Copier, Citizens Bank, LogicForce, and NES.
