This sixth annual Women Build event, Couture Construction, presented by Frost Brown Todd LLC and chaired by Mekesha Montgomery was held at Dillard's, The Mall at Green Hills on March 18. The event was a huge success, with more than 300 attending the fashion show and style event benefitting Habitat for Humanity of Greater Nashville's Women Build.
Pennington Distilling Co. greeted guests with an 'elevated” lemonade specialty cocktail, made with Pickers Blueberry Vodka. A variety of hors d'oeuvres complemented the bar sponsored by The Edwards Pharris Group at Morgan Stanley.
Guests enjoyed a fashion show coordinated by Dillard's personal shopper, Cathi Aycock, that highlighted spring looks for women, men, and children.
As guests left, they were given a swag bag sponsored by The Wilson Group Real Estate Services, featuring champagne and Godiva chocolate.
Ticket sales, along with a portion of Dillard's proceeds for the night, raised more than $30,000, which will cover half the cost of construction materials for this year's future Women Build Habitat homeowner Jazmyn Davis. The other half of her house is sponsored by UPS and Skanska. Jazmyn, along with her sponsors and volunteers, will begin building her home at the end of April. Ten Habitat homes have been built for Women Build partner families.
