On November 9, Nashville and its surrounding communities and businesses lit up their buildings for the third annual Night Lights in support of patients, families, and health care workers at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt and across the Midstate.
This year’s Night Lights also included a virtual musical performance from country artist Walker Hayes from the rooftop of the Kenect building in Midtown Nashville. Many Children’s Hospital employees filmed their own “Fancy Like” dance moves for the ultimate video mashup, which Walker Hayes shared to his Instagram here.
“I’m incredibly humbled to be able to participate in this year's Night Lights event for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt,” says Hayes. “As a father of six, this initiative is near and dear to my heart. I’m so thankful I get to help celebrate all of the patients, families and health care workers through music in such a unique way, and my hope is that this performance put smiles on their faces.”
To close out the evening, children and families were treated to a parade of emergency vehicles flashing their lights, which could be seen from patient rooms.
The livestream can also be viewed on the Children’s Hospital Facebook page here.
