One December 9, the Nashville Symphony and co-chairs Kayla Counts and Suann Davis welcomed close to 500 guests to Schermerhorn Symphony Center for the trhity-ninth annual Symphony Ball.
The white-tie gala, one of the Nashville Symphony’s annual signature fundraisers that supports the organization’s educational and artistic programs, was a vision in scarlet, with event planner Bruce Pittman at the helm. Guests were welcomed to the cocktail hour by a glittering Champagne tower, before enjoying a three-course dinner from Kristen Winston Catering in Laura Turner Concert Hall. Country music legend Kix Brooks was the recipient of the 2023 Harmony Award, presented by Nashville Symphony President and CEO Alan Valentine and Dr. Carl Awh.
Following the award presentation, Brooks performed acoustic versions of “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” and “Red Dirt Road.” The evening also included a performance from the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, including a beautifully orchestrated Brooks & Dunn medley, plus dancing to the tunes of the band, Life of the Party, at the late party.
