On October 9, the Center for Nonprofit Management announced the winners of the 2018 Salute to Excellence nonprofit awards at the Omni Nashville Hotel.
This year's event featured awards in 13 categories of nonprofit excellence. Over 1,000 guests attended as winning and finalist organizations received recognition for nonprofit excellence and prize money totaling nearly $250,000.
The evening also featured a tribute to longtime CNM President, Lewis Lavine, who passed away in May 2018. The inaugural Lewis Lavine President's Award, an honor bestowed upon an individual or organization that has furthered the impact of the nonprofit community, was awarded to Dr. James R. Vaillancourt, a newly retired CNM consultant and former CNM President.
