Union Station Hotel and Nashville Humane Association have teamed up to launch the "Shelter Pet Sleepovers" program, which kicks off March 27-29.
Select participants of the NHA's short-term foster program Rover Nights, which allows volunteers to take an adoptable dog home for an overnight, will be treated to a special staycation at the pet-friendly downtown hotel with an adoptable dog from NHA. The program is designed to provide shelter dogs a night of relief from the stressful shelter environment, as well as create more visibility for adoptable dogs among potential adopters (Union Station Hotel and NHA are equipped to provide information and resources for even out-of-town guests looking to adopt).
Applicants will be able to apply to participate in Shelter Pet Sleepovers once a weekend every month. There’s also no cost to participate—the dog crate, food, collar, leash and other supplies, as well as overnight accommodations for one night at Union Station Hotel, are all provided (though a $50 donation to NHA is suggested). Applicants must be a registered participant in the Rover Night program to be eligible. For more information, please visit nashvillehumane.org/doggie-dates. Once the match is made, the Union Station Hotel room will be waiting with treats and all other necessary supplies.
For more information or to inquire about participating, visit nashvillehumane.org or contact NHA at 615-352-1010.
