One of Nashville’s biggest Juneteenth celebrations returns with music, food truck fare, a kids corner, a firework show, and more. Celebrate the national holiday on June 19 at Fort Negley Park. The event is open to the community at large and is held from 5 to 9:45 p.m.
National Museum of African American Music
The National Museum of African American Music is celebrating Black Music Month with a series of events including a Juneteenth Community Day. Join the museum for their mixology class on June 19, which includes three themed cocktails, light bites, a commemorative glass, and discounted parking.
Music City Juneteenth Freedom Day 5K Run/Walk
Run, walk, and dance in the June 19 5K event at Shelby Park in historic East Nashville. DJ 50Cyn will be spinning some tunes.
Juneteenth Cookout at W Nashville
Join W Nashville at the WET Deck on June 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a special Juneteenth Poolside Party. Juneteenth cookout menu highlights include Southern classics like smoked brisket on Hawaiian rolls, peach barbecue chicken, beer-braised bratwurst, deviled eggs, and mini apple pies. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Daniel Ian Jones from 1 to 5 p.m. Cookout day passes include access to lounge chairs, towel service, and poolside food and drink service.
