Musical guests include Grammy Award winner Colbie Caillat, plus Jason Derlatka, Natalie Grant, Joe King, Jason Scheff, and Sixwire.
Awe inspiring group and solo figure skating performances by World, Olympic, and National champions create an electric evening sure to delight fans of all ages. Celebrated figure skaters for this year’s event include Katia Gordeeva, Ilia Kulik, Jeremy Abbott, Marissa Castelli, Simon Shnapir, Madison Hubbell, Zachary Donohue, Alexa Knierim, Brandon Frazier, Karen Chem Kaitlyn Weaver, Andrew Poje, Alissa Czisny, and Ryan Bradley.
“It’s just the marriage of the two mediums: music and movement. A lot of people have only seen skating at that level on TV, they’ve never seen it in person, and when you see these skaters and what they can do to live, iconic music it’s extraordinary. It’s captivating. The marriage of those two elements, live, it’s just sensory overload; you can’t believe what you’re witnessing and what you’re a part of,” Hamilton says.
Proceeds from the event will fund Glioblastoma research through the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation. Having lost his mother to cancer, and overcoming his own battle against the disease, Hamilton has been committed to raising money to change the future of cancer. With the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation, he continues this mission by funding advanced, innovative research that treats cancer while sparing the patient. As one of the foundation’s largest fundraising events, Hamilton looks forward to not only providing a night of spectacular entertainment, but to helping change the lives of countless others battling cancer through the funds raised from this event.
