For a certain lineage of long-tenured Nashville, Sperry's is their grandfather's steakhouse, and second-generation owner Al Thomas is proud of that. The Belle Meade restaurant was opened by his dad and uncle in 1974 and immediately became the neighborhood alternative to The Club on The Boulevard. Since taking over in 2000, Thomas has adeptly walked the tricky tightrope between honoring iconsblue cheese-stuffed filet, salad bar, Green Goddess dressing, bananas foster tablesideand freshening up the interior, revamping the wine list, and sparking up the menu. The result is a Sperry's for a new generation and a demo beyond 37205.
