Frothy Monkey
The fourth iteration of beloved coffee hub, Frothy Monkey, recently opened in West Nashville's Stocking 51 complex. This expansive location was once a hosiery factory (Belle Meade Hosiery Mill) and in reviving it for modern use, they kept much of the original posts, floors, and brick while adding special touches like Ellie Caudill's abstract mural. Regulars will take comfort in the go-to Frothy menu with the traditional coffee selections as well as expanded drink (read: alcohol) options. 1400 51st Ave N; frothymonkey.com
Project 615
The Nations' Stocking 51 is also home to Project 615, who recently took up residence with a second retail outpost (and new headquarters, too). It was a much-needed move, since the philanthropic apparel company, founded by Derek Evans and Matt Blinco in 2010, has grown at a pace that rivals the city's own. Project 615's new digs total a cool 7,700 square feetplenty of room to accommodate the company's printing, shipping, office, and retail needs. One thing's for sure: As Nashville's trajectory of growth continues, we're grateful to have these beloved, local brands along for the ride.1404 51st Ave N; project615.com
Peter Nappi
Peter Nappi has been outfitting Nashville with premium leather goods since its inception in 2011. While the brand's Germantown showroom is somewhat of a retail destination, the industrial space was never intended to be a traditional brick-and-mortar store. That's why, when owners Phillip and Dana Nappi came across a space for rent in a desirable and walkable stretch of 12 South, they knew the time was right to expand their reign and open the brand's first true retail locale. 2308 12th Ave S; peternappi.com
Wilder Etudes
Wilder Etudesa retail space that that changes with each coming seasonoriginates from the creative minds of artists Josh and Ivy Elrod, the two New York transplants behind Wilder in Germantown. Just like their flagship store, Wilder Etudes brings a curated selection of product categories to Nashville, including: furniture, lighting, jewelry, apparel, fragrance, textile, wallpaper, fine art, books, records, and even tea.
Currently, the shop features products in various green hues, up-cycled items, eco-friendly offerings, and items with naturalistic flair. Brands such as Muuto, Herman Miller, Eskayel, and Fort Standard are found among the collection. Once a theme is swapped for the next, the Elrod's plan to partner with shops in various other cities to share their curated selection. 1200 Villa Pl, Ste. 301, 615-457-2529; wilderlife.com
