Whether you’re a native Tennessean or an out-of-state visitor, outdoor enthusiasts flock to the Volunteer State to experience all that nature has to offer.
And in a year when many find themselves reconnecting to the great outdoors more than ever, the Paderewski Fine Art & The Sportsman’s Gallery, Ltd. arrives in Green Hills; it showcases an impressive range of sporting and wildlife subjects sure to inspire any lover of the outdoors.
With over 25 years of experience, gallery owner Michael Paderewski has served collectors of traditional and contemporary works by noted artists from around the world. The Nashville gallery marks the third Paderewski Fine Art & The Sportsman’s Gallery, Ltd. he has founded, preceded by locations in Charleston, S.C., and Beaver Creek, Colo. And in addition to his extensive professional experience, he is armed with a lifetime of passion.

“I am a fanatic and just avid, avid outdoor enthusiast,” Paderewski says. “The gallery is basically an extension of my personal passions and lifestyle. I am a firm believer that more and more people should be getting involved in the outdoors, and I think we’re actually in a unique renaissance of that right now.”
Having built a reputation on 19th Century to contemporary sporting and wildlife subjects, the galleries have since broadened their offerings to include fine American, Southern Regional, and contemporary works. With such a diverse collection—in addition to unique gifts like custom knives, belt buckles, wine openers, and original etchings—the Nashville gallery offers art to inspire any outdoor enthusiast.
“It’s a moving target and collection because we try to cater to every market we go into a bit, but I always stay true to my roots of traditional sporting and wildlife subjects whether it’s by deceased masters or some of today’s top and young upcomers; which makes for a very diverse collection,” says Paderewski.

“With Nashville, we’re also adding some of our Colorado-based artists that are Western contemporary. I see that being a good mix for the market and what the tastes seem to be in Nashville because there’s a bit of traditional, and then there’s a lot of very cool contemporary coming up.”
In the spirit of blending traditional with contemporary, Paderewski saw Nashville as the perfect fit for the gallery’s third location.
“I was floored at the growth of it, the influx of people in business and industry, and I was also extremely pleasantly surprised at the preservation of their roots,” he says. “It has some wonderful history and it also has the young, hip vibe going on as well. It’s a wonderful balance and it’s my kind of place in that regard—it’s a little bit city, it’s a little bit country.”
Whatever your area of interest, the gallery aims to provide a unique, diverse collection to offer something for everyone. And for days stuck inside the office or the house, when you’re longing for an outdoor adventure, the gallery enables collectors to acquire pieces that transport them into their favorite daydream.
“We sell memories,” says Paderewski. “That’s truly what we are doing. I want the gallery to flourish in providing those memories to people because it’s what I enjoy, and it’s what I enjoy being surrounded by.”
