Part of the 2024 Kindling Arts Festival, Suspended Gravity’s latest high-flying circus production, Flip Your Lid!, invites the audience to embark on the adventures and misadventures of life in TV Land – blossoming romances! Housewife Hijinks! Diner daydreams! – until a mysterious alternate dimension begins to cross frequencies with SG’s sitcom reality. This scrambled signal reveals some new truths for Flip Your Lid’s characters and leads to some unexpected endings. Through high flying circus acts – including aerial silks, partner acrobatics, and pole dance – and a story developed in conjunction with guest writer Jack Stell, Flip Your Lid! shatters the veneer of perfection and lays bare the beauty, chaos, and possibility beneath it.
