Songwriter Session: Kelsey Waldon
After moving to Nashville from Kentucky, singer-songwriter and recording artist Kelsey Waldon released a series of EPs, then two critically acclaimed self-released albums: The Goldmine (2014) and I’ve Got a Way (2016). In 2019, she signed a recording contract with John Prine’s Oh Boy Records, becoming the label’s first new signee in fifteen years. With Oh Boy, Waldon has released two full-length albums: 2019’s White Noise/White Lines—featuring the single “Kentucky, 1988,” which topped Rolling Stone’s list of the year’s best country and Americana songs, and 2022’s No Regular Dog, recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Shooter Jennings.
