This program, moderated by the Museum’s Paul Kingsbury, celebrates an unusual and significant recording collection recently acquired by the Museum: The British Archive of Country Music (BACM). The panelists are Alan Barnes, son of BACM founder Dave Barnes; Kevin Fleming, the Museum’s director of library and archival collections; and Martin Hawkins, music historian, record collector, and author. Following the panel, the Museum’s longtime curator of recorded-sound collections, Alan Stoker, will lead a listening session and discuss records from the collection.
