Musician Spotlight: Terry Crisp
Steel guitarist Terry Crisp has recorded with Mark Chesnutt, Jimmy Fortune, George Jones, Doug Kershaw, Chris LeDoux, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, Travis Tritt, and Rhonda Vincent and has performed with Jack Greene and Jeannie Seely, Lonzo & Oscar, Charlie Louvin, Ray Price, and Brian Setzer. As a member of the Ricky Skaggs Band in the 1980s, Crisp won the Academy of Country Music’s Touring Group of the Year award four times, the Country Music Association’s Instrumental Group of the Year three times, and a Grammy for Instrumental of the Year. He has also previously worked as Joe Nichols’s bandleader, and he is currently a member of Chris Young’s band.
