Lockeland Springs Park Community Celebration
to
Urban Cowboy 1603 Woodland St, Nashville, Tennessee 37206
For several years, Trust For Public Land has been working with a couple of groups in East Nashville on a long-term conservation plan for Lockeland Springs Park. A couple of weeks ago, Metro Planning approved the subdivision of the property which allows TPL to purchase the park acreage, donate the conservation easement to TennGreen Land Conservancy, and sell the park parcel to Metro Parks. A big deal!
Most of TPL's work in Tennessee for the last few decades has been in/around Chattanooga, but they've got big hopes of doing more work in Middle Tennessee, and we think their success with Lockeland Springs shows the rest of the city what that could look like.
We're having a small gathering at Urban Cowboy on the evening of August 30 (details below) to toast the project with outgoing Councilman Withers, members of Mayor Cooper's team, and some of our most dedicated donors and supporters.
