Celtic band Altan has been performing Irish folk music for more than thirty years. The band has won the National Association of Independent Record Distributors and Manufacturers’ (NAIRD) Celtic/British Isles Album of the Year award three times and has recorded or performed with numerous American musicians, including Alison Brown, Tim O’Brien, and Country Music Hall of Fame members Dolly Parton and Ricky Skaggs. Jerry Douglas, another Altan collaborator, is a Grammy-winning musician known as a master innovator on the resophonic guitar.
