Museum visitors can learn more about Thomas Hart Benton’s drawing technique, working from three-dimensional objects to create a still life inspired by musical instruments and themes in his last painting, The Sources of Country Music. This celebrated mural is permanently exhibited in the museum’s Hall of Fame Rotunda and depicts the musical and cultural traditions that shaped country music and America. Presented in support of the exhibition An American Masterwork: Thomas Hart Benton’s "Sources of Country Music" at 50. (Recommended for ages 7 and up. All are welcome)
