HIGHLIGHTS:
-
“The BE Hive mission is to make plant-based foods more accessible. Our annual BarBEcue stands to further achieve this mission by bringing the community together for an event that showcases all of the plant-based options that Nashville has to offer. By bringing together diverse vendors in a unified front, this highlights that as independent businesses, we’re all on the same team, and not competition. The BarBEcue punctuates that we can all eat less meat and that plant-based food can be dope... Because life is tight.”
- Ben Stix, The BE Hive - Founder & Owner
“We are excited by The BE-Hive's support of our mission and being named as the beneficiary of this year's BarBEcue event! For 25 years we have served as the only nonprofit organization in Nashville solely dedicated to improving livability by advocating for a more walkable and bikeable city. As a huge proponent of a plant-based diet and multimodal travel, this partnership is especially exciting to me. Our food and transportation choices significantly influence how big our environmental footprint is, and incremental habit changes can make a lasting impact. We can't wait to engage with new friends while enjoying some plant-based food at this year's event!”
- Meredith Montgomery, Walk Bike Nashville - Executive Director (and vegetarian for 20+ years)
