It's Dolly Parton's birthday, y'all! What better way to celebrate than with a Dolly-themed bash?! See 5 ways to help honor the queen of country music's 78th birthday:
The Ryman is going Dolly! Join the Opry on January 19 for one of two shows (7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.) which will include Dolly tributes, photo-ops, and other fun. Artists scheduled for the shows include Lauren Alaina, Terri Clark, Elle King, Tigirlily Gold, Ashley Monroe, Don Schlitz, Dailey and Vincent, and more. $5 from every ticket sold will be donated to the Opry Trust Fund in Dolly's honor.
On January 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Graduate Nashville is hosting a birthday bash to celebrate Dolly’s day and give back to Imagination Library, an organization started by Dolly Parton that gives free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income. Festivities include a live reading of Things Lady Likes by author Donna Drehmann, followed by a themed craft, pop-up shops, special birthday treats, and more. While tickets are not required to attend the event, guests can give an optional $12 donation to giveback to Dolly’s Imagination Library. One ticket also guarantees entry in a Dolly-inspired giveaway, where one winner will take home Dolly-themed goodies and a one-night stay at Graduate Nashville.
It's a Dolly-themed day! On January 20, celebrate the birthday of our Tennessee treasure, Dolly Parton, at Tennessee Brew Works. The day will be full of live music featuring Erin Hazelrig and the Dolly Parton Tribute Band. The free event begins at 2 p.m. Wear pink if you have it!
