Rob Norris
In honor of their hit single, "Tequila," Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney (of country music duo Dan + Shay) share their favorite spots for sipping the good stuff in Nashville.
1. Dan's House
Putting out a song called "Tequila" was the best thing we ever did. We've been so lucky to receive lots of gift bottles from different brands and friends. The collection is very strong at the moment. And what better place to enjoy a tasty libation than the comfort of your own home!
2. The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club
Hands down, one of our favorite new bars in Nashville. The Fox is owned by our very own drummer, Andrew Cook, and good friend Bryan Rushton. Not only is the tequila selection on point, but the vegan food menu is one of the best in town.
3. Robert's Western World
An absolute classic. Not typically known for its tequila selection, but certainly known for its historic honky tonk vibe. One of the first bars we ever visited in Nashville, and still one of our favorites to visit on special occasions.
4. Drifters
At Drifters, it always seems to be happy hour. Two-for-one tequilas are better than one-for-one tequilas. Also, a fantastic vegan menu, and incredibly friendly bar staff. Definitely one of our favorite places to hang out in East Nashville.
5. Village Pub & Beer Garden
We discovered the Village Pub while in pursuit of a proper Guinness pour after a tour in Ireland, and instantly fell in love. The atmosphere resembles a small ski town haunt, and the liquor selection is top notch. A great place to visit in the winter to cozy up with a cold drink by a warm fire. Well, they also have hot toddies, so you can enjoy a warm drink, too, if that's your thing.
