Nashville brothers Ryan and Matthew Poli have opened iggy’s, a new restaurant concept in Wedgewood-Houston that focuses on inventive Italian cuisine and craft cocktails. The new restaurant is located at 609 Merritt Avenue.
“Opening iggy’s has been a dream of Matthew and I’s for a while, and we’re excited to finally share this fun and memorable dining experience with the Nashville community,” says executive chef Ryan Poli. “At iggy’s, guests can expect expertly crafted handmade pasta and cocktails, eclectic tunes, and genuine hospitality.”
Chef Ryan’s menu at iggy’s features items from local farmers and producers, creative ingredients, and new twists on the classics. Guests can look forward to menu changes based on the season, too. The wine list features selections from new and emerging producers mixed with classic regions and styles and the cocktail menu includes classic cocktails and new takes on the Italian spritz.
iggy’s features a seventy-seat dining room and the restaurant’s decor is modern and rustic, with natural wood accents throughout the space. The main dining room centers around the large open kitchen, which gives guests an intimate view of the chefs’ cooking.
In addition to the restaurant, guests can look forward to The Market, which will open in the coming months. The Market will feature items to go, such as raw pasta, a variety of sauces, specialty imported Italian cheeses, and merchandise.
