Nashville burger lovers, the votes have been tallied!
After the first round of nominations followed by two rounds of voting, burger lovers all across Music City have crowned the best burger in town in our annual Battle of the Burger contest, sponsored by Tennessee Beef Council.
We asked readers to nominate their favorite burger from a local restaurant and the ten burgers who received the most nominations made it to the first round of voting. From there, the top five burgers were selected until voters finally narrowed it down to the winner.
Congratulations to our Battle of the Burger contest winner, Saint Stephen and their Sts Burger!
Saint Stephen, by James Beard Award-winning chef, RJ Cooper, is a spot to enjoy dressed up at the tasting counter or kickin' it at the bar during happy hour. The Sts Burger, an off menu item, is mouthwatering and made completely in house. The patty itself is a blend of Bear Creek Farm deckle, short rib, chuck flap, brisket, beef heart and Giffords beef bacon. They make their rolls -- a cross between Japanese milk bread and French brioche -- in house. The burger is technically never on the menu but if you know, you know... you can request it Monday through Thursday and during happy hour on Fridays and Saturdays from 5 to 6 p.m.
