Claire and Kyle met when mutual friends set them up as homecoming dates during their senior year of high school. A few years later, Kyle pulled off a surprise proposal on St. Patrick's Day at Claire's childhood home.
Both Nashville natives, Claire and Kyle wanted a big Southern wedding surrounded by all of the people they love. 'I wanted it to feel fancy enough to mark the occasion, but not so much that people felt like they couldn't relax and have a ton of fun,” says Claire. With a color scheme of cream and white, lots of greenery, and classic black tuxedos, the couple's wedding was a timeless, elegant affair.
A number of special family touches made for a memorable night: Claire wore her mother's garter and a Chi Omega pledge pin from her mother-in-law, and Kyle sang one of the couple's favorite songs as he and Claire danced for the first time as husband and wife.
'Enjoy your engagement! Have fun planning, and don't take anything too seriously. The inevitable hiccups won't make the day any less special or fun.”
