Shane McAnally is one busy guy. The father of two (with husband Michael Baum) completed his second season as a mentor on NBC’s mega-hit songwriting competition series Songland, and he’s been working on a musical that would have been headed to Broadway this fall, if it were not for COVID.
The Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer known for his work with the likes of Kacey Musgraves, Midland, and Old Dominion (among many more) has recently worked on projects with Carly Pearce, Sam Hunt, and Morgan Wallen, cowriting his hit “7 Summers.”
Besides his work, McAnally keeps philanthropy front and center with his efforts with Music Artists Coalition, Onsite Foundation, the Silverton Foundation, and the Country Music Association, which holds a special place in his heart.
“I’m most proud of the Forever Country project I had the honor of producing for the 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards,” he says. “To be able to work with 30 of my heroes, some of the most iconic artists in country music, and to create something so timeless and special was a dream come true for me.”
