Amara “GiveLove” Hall is a woman of many talents.
She’s a model, a musician, a spoken word poet, and a music festival producer. She also recently added another gig to her impressive résumé, taking on the role of talent producer for Rissi Palmer's show “Color Me Country” on Apple Music Country (as well as BRELAND, The Tiera Show, and Southern Craft Radio with Kelly McCartney). Her full creative plate is, in part, a product of her surroundings.
“I love that Nashville truly embraces the creative. You can be anything you want to be here. It is not weird to have a day job and pursue your art, whatever that may be,” says the Baltimore native. “There is a reverence for one’s calling I think people take seriously.”
Hall also devotes herself to Safe Place Poetry Circle, an organization she launched to provide a safe place for women in prison to express themselves and heal emotional wounds. After having to reinvent the program due to COVID-19, she is working on an audio component to keep the program viable in the women’s prisons. She says her empathy for others and desire to connect and spread love have been with her all along.
“I grew up surrounded by love. That’s really the biggest thing that’s shaped me and how I interact with the world. I’m a middle child, naturally an empath, the entertainer, the big sister, the little sister, the oldest girl cousin. My family taught me a great deal about the art of conversation and how easy it is to get to know someone. We all want that connection.”
