Who do you consider a hero and why?
My pastor and mentor Cece Winans. She is a shining example of excellence in the gospel music industry, and she actually lives what she sings about! She is someone I can admire from afar and up-close. She is the same person in person that she is on TV and her integrity and love for God and people is an inspiration to me and millions of other people around the world.
What’s an organization or non-profit that’s important to you?
The Prison Fellowship. I love the idea of sharing the gospel and providing hope to those who are incarcerated and their families.
How do you define beauty?
I think beauty comes down to the heart of a person. Not that they are perfect, but they are striving to become better every day. They embrace and understand their shortcomings but are determined to become the best version of themselves no matter how long that journey might be. I think strength, endurance, kindness, and the desire to improve are all marks of beauty.
