What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I feel most accomplished and happy in the tiny moments when I see my children share without being asked, offer a hug when a friend is hurt, or say a simple, sweet prayer at the dinner table. Those are the little things that feel so big and fill my heart.
Who has had the greatest influence on your life?
My husband, Mark, has undoubtedly been the most solid person in my life for 25 years. To say we have seen the mountains and valleys is an understatement, but he has somehow seen the strength in me at times that I could not. He has believed in my tenacity and courage when I felt tentative and unsure. He always reminds me, “You got this.”
How do you define beauty?
I’ve spent so much time over the past year thinking about what I really want more of as I grow older, and the answer, hands down, is real connections with other people. The most beautiful thing in the world to me is sharing a laugh with a close friend, reading bedtime stories with my babies, or holding my husband’s hand. I feel profound gratitude in those tiny, beautiful moments.
