Trea Smith
Occupation: Director of Rehabilitation; Occupational Therapy Practitioner

What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
When I was 15 years old, I was in a life-changing car accident with my best friend, who passed away in that accident. I had a head injury and was in a coma for a couple weeks. I had to re-learn how to basically do everything again with intense physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
What accomplishment are you most proud of?
Probably my job. It’s hard to believe that 16 years ago, I was fighting hard just to be able to walk and talk again. I never imagined that I would be able to help people the way my therapists were helping me, much less be the director of all the therapists that help so many people. My therapy team is amazing at Rehab America Nashville / AHC Cumberland.
What is your definition of beauty?
Confidence. There is nothing more attractive than confidence. Confidence in all aspects. Confident that you can excel at your job. Confident that you can make a difference. And, well, confident that you’re beautiful
