Artist: Adrien Saporiti Where: 625 Main St Nashville, TN 37206 (East Nashville)
This banded mural was created in 2014 by DCXV Industries founder Saporiti who is known for other art walls across town including the famous “I Believe in Nashville x93 design in the Marathon Village and 12South neighborhoods. With a goal to unite Nashvillians, Saporiti’s paintings are identifiable by their bright and colorful palates, attracting attention from locals and tourists alike.
Artist: Issac Arvold, John Grider, Eric Inkala, Drew Peterson Where: 154 5th Ave N, Nashville, TN 37219 (Downtown Nashville)
Four Minneapolis creatives were commissioned to create this piece in 2007 in the back parking lot of the downtown Presbyterian church in Nashville. Spanning a space 30 feet high and 80 feet wide, the mural was originally part of a show for the Twist Gallery. The hybrid animal figures and forms were created using a mix of graffiti and stencil art.
Artists: David Glick and Adam Randolph Where: 2102 Belcourt Ave, Nashville, TN 37212 (Hillsboro Village)
Recess came at just the right time for these two artists who got help from several school kids from Eakin Elementary School. Randolph and Glick completed the dragon mural over three weekends in 1995 with donated paint from a local hardware store. Bonus: This one is in a bustling area of town with great stops like Fido coffee shop, Pangea boutique and Double Dog eatery.
Artist: Shantell Martin Where: 700 Taylor St Nashville, TN 37208 (Germantown)
Adding another touch of fame to its already notable Nashville cuisine, Rolf and Daughters enlisted world famous Martin to paint a mural on its façade. Martin completed the project as a favor to a friend in May 2014 in her signature technique—black ink on white surfaces. Martin has been featured on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, in the New York Times, and was named as New York’s “it x93 girl in 2011.
The man in black is always with us, singing right along from the bricks on The Wall of Cash. Painted by the Thoughts Manifested Crew in 2003 this mural stands over 12 feet tall and 150 feet long made from various free-hand and stenciling techniques. In 2012, the artists revitalized their masterpiece in honor of the 10th anniversary of Cash’s passing.
