On April 26, nearly 150 community members gathered for United Way of Greater Nashville’s Patricia Hart Society Spring Fundraiser at the The History & Culture Center of Williamson County.
Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and a silent auction, while raising $72,907 to support early literacy in the community. This year’s program discussed the importance of early childhood literacy in the local communities and featured speakers including Jennifer Osland Hillen, author and illustrator of Goodnight, Nashville, Apri Gassaway, director of education, United Way of Greater Nashville as well as Julie Urban and Elizabeth Laub, teachers at Franklin Elementary School and Raise Your Hand partners.
Event proceeds benefit Imagination Library of Middle Tennessee and Raise Your Hand. A portion of the proceeds from the silent auction also went to The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's Caring for Covenant Fund.
