The Symphony Fashion Show hosted a kickoff on Monday, January 7 at Gus Mayer.
Here, guests celebrated the announcement of award-winning country star Lauren Alaina as this year's featured entertainer.
“Lauren Alaina’s prodigious talent, one-of-a-kind exuberance, and undeniable relatability are as evident now as when she wowed audiences and judges alike as a contestant on American Idol,” said Cynthia Arnholt and Allison Schaufele, chairs of this year's event.
Presented in partnership with Gus Mayer, the Symphony Fashion Show is one of Nashville’s leading runway shows. Proceeds from the event support the Nashville Symphony’s education and community engagement programs – which annually reach tens of thousands of Middle Tennessee children and adults through free concerts, classroom activities, hands-on instruction and more – as well as helping to sustain the Nashville Symphony’s mission of achieving artistic excellence through outstanding performances, world premieres, commissions and GRAMMY®-winning recordings.
Tickets for 2019 Symphony Fashion Show (which takes place on Tuesday, May 14, 2019) will go on sale in March.
