On Thursday, January 19, Nashville Lifestyles hosted the annual Music in the City event at Ole Red featuring a performance by country music singer/songwriter and January cover star, Elle King.
Attendees entered the venue and made their way to the first floor stage to hear Anna Wescoat kick off the evening by singing her song, "Gulf County," which was chosen as the winning song for Gulf County Florida's tourism song contest. Just after Anna's song, up-and-coming artist Ella Langley took the stage. She got the crowd rocking with singles like "If You Have to" and a cover of Jason Aldean's " She's Country."
Once set changes were made, Alison Hudak, editor of Nashville Lifestyles, took the stage to introduce the talented Elle King. In a fifteen-minute-long Q-and-A session, Elle talked about her upcoming album, her dream collaboration, and her favorite artist to party with. Post Q-and-A, Elle and her band took over the stage where she sang tracks from her album, Come Get Your Wife, along with some of her smash hits like "Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)." While listening to killer tunes, guests sipped a complimentary Lone River Ranch Water, had some photo booth fun with Gulf County Tourist Development Council's 360-degree photo booth, and had the opportunity to learn about thoughtfully designed apartments at Albion in the Gulch.
A portion of the proceeds from the event benefited Dream Streets, a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and empower under-resourced families in West and North Nashville.
Thank you to our presenting sponsor, City National Bank, and our sponsors Gulf County Tourist Development Council, Hatef Aesthetics, Albion in the Gulch, Lone River Ranch Water, and Ole Red.
