Brett Arsta with Deb Sandvik from HopeKid
The inaugural HopeKids Charity Golf Classic was recently hosted by The Grove, a private 1100-acre golf community—featuring Nashville's only Greg Norman Signature Golf Course.
The event raised $60,000 to serve new families and expand the free events offered by HopeKids Middle Tennessee, the sixth and newest chapter of HopeKids.
Former NFL wide receiver and friend of HopeKids, Eric Decker, was on hand to welcome the players and share his experience with HopeKids. Attendees enjoyed a beautiful day on the course, with LPGA's Chelsea Kinard offering long drive tips at the Beat the Pro contest, team photos at the Magnolia Golf Events leaderboard, post-event music by 16-year-old singer-songwriter and cancer warrior Ava Paige, unique acrylic guitar trophies for the top 3 teams, and auction items featuring signed guitars by Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Brad Paisley, Carly Pearce; along with other notable items and memorabilia.
The mission of HopeKids is to provide ongoing events, activities, and a powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with cancer or other life-threatening medical condition.
