As the Franklin community arrived at Eastern Flank Battlefield Park for the 44th annual Heritage Ball, guests were instantly transported to an elegant evening of food, drink, dancing and fundraising for the Heritage Foundation of Franklin and Williamson Co.
Upon arrival, ladies and gentlemen were welcomed by Ball Chairs Nancy Smith and Greg Flittner and invited to order a drink at the bar featuring Gray's on Main signature cocktail, Catcher in the Rye. In addition to cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres, auction items were displayed throughout the event and available for bid. This year's auction featured one-of-a-kind trips, jewelry, art and experiences and was chaired by Fred and Linda Reynolds.
Hosts and hostesses rang the dinner bell and invited more than 735 attendees to take their seats in the main ballroom, designed by Ball Designer Donna Daniel. The décor mirrored the Heritage Foundation's efforts of rebuilding and revitalization with tents draped in subtle color and fresh greenery with florals designed by Steve McLellan. The dinner menu by Sargent's Fine Catering included a salad topped with fresh fruit, a main course of short rib and lemon mousse for dessert.
Following recognition of the event sponsors by CEO of the Heritage Foundation, Bari Beasley and President of the Heritage Foundation, David Garrett, guests were invited to join the dance floor for dancing and live music by the Dance Street Band and enjoy the delectable post-dinner biscuit bar by Red Pony.
