On Thursday, September 5, The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County held the Heritage Ball Patron Party at the residence of Janis and Perry Schonfeld in Franklin.
At the event, the organization announced both Jennifer and Jamey Parker as the winners of the Patron Award. The efforts of the Parkers have helped safeguard numerous historic sites, ensuring that the cultural legacy of Williamson County will be cherished for generations to come.
“There’s simply no one more deserving of the Patron Award as Jennifer and Jamey Parker have been pillars of support in the preservation efforts of Williamson County for many years," says Heritage Foundation president and CEO, Bari Beasley. "Through their tireless dedication and steadfast commitment to the mission of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County, they have played an instrumental role in protecting the rich history and architectural heritage of our community.”
The Patron Party was catered by Menu Maker Catering and Events. Guests snacked on passed appetizers like bacon wrapped dates with Boursin cheese, crab and sweet corn cakes with lemon caper remoulade, a grazing display of chef's selection of cheeses, cured meats, roasted vegetables and fruit served with crackers and crostini, watermelon and feta skewers with fresh mint, gorgonzola pear polenta rounds, southern fried chicken sliders with house aioli, and crisp pork belly served on a biscuit with pomegranate molasses and vegetable Slaw. In addition, attendees enjoyed a lemon and herb butter board with crostini and grilled bread, creamy mini key lime pies, and chocolate brownies. The signature cocktail created by Stable Reserve was called the Cotton Gin and featured gin, apple, lemon, and rosemary.
The black tie fundraiser presented by The George Family will be held Saturday, October 5 at the Eastern Flank Battlefield Park.
