May marked Older Americans Month and FiftyForward, the Nashville nonprofit that supports, champions, and enhances life for older adults, held a gala event to celebrate.
In honor of this sixty-sixth anniversary, FiftyForward hosted several events in May with a Route 66 theme. The month culminated with a marquee event, the FiftyForward Route 66 Gala.
“We were excited to have the community join us as we celebrated and honored older adults,” says FiftyForward CEO Sallie Hussey. “As a sixty-six-year-old agency committed to serving those over the age of fifty in Middle Tennessee, we will continue to build on our track record of supporting the varied and diverse needs of older adults as well as celebrating and elevating their stories,” Hussey added.
The FiftyForward Route 66 Gala, emceed by Joe Dubin, featured an evening of dinner, music, and dancing with music provided by a band featuring Adam and Amy Pope, Kenzie Wetz, Ben Peeples, and more.
