A farewell reception for Diane Hayes, long-time executive director of Young Leaders Council, was held at the Gulch Crossing with more than 400 alumni and supporters who came to celebrate her 24 years of nonprofit service.
Presenting sponsor PNC Bank, along with Synovus and Pinnacle Financial Partners, helped make the event as special as the woman it was celebrating.
Grazing Nashville prepared a beautiful spread of a mixed selection of cheeses, red pepper and feta dip, sour cherry spread, caramelized chutney, prosciutto, salami, yogurt-covered pretzels, liquorice, dried fruits and white chocolate chunks.
Let It B Love created a large balloon arch to welcome guests, who then selected their own vintage glassware supplied by The Wedding Plate to be filled at the bar. A glossy hardcover book containing dozens of photos with quotes from alumni over the past two decades was displayed where guests could add their own notes using a silver marker.
Chase Cole, a graduate of the first YLC class in 1985, shared that Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis has sent 30 employees through the nonprofit board leadership training program over the years.
Diane’s daughter Holly Urbanowicz sang a parody song to the tune of “I Will Survive” and board chair Joshua Livingston presented Diane with an engraved glass plaque and a two-night stay in Asheville, North Carolina.
