Known and loved as one of the largest antiques and horticultural events in the country, the Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville is a treasured tradition for more than 15,000 attendees annually.
And to the delight of many, the show will make its return to Nashville’s Music City Center for a three-day event featuring the highest quality antiques, landscaped gardens, horticultural items from exhibitors nationwide, and a remarkable lineup of speakers and guests.
Running Feb. 11 through 13, this year’s event is sure to be one for the books. The show’s 2022 theme, “Home is where your story begins,” invites attendees to experience an outstanding showcase of antiques from more than 150 dealers; world-class landscaped gardens; and opportunities to engage with some of the nation’s top names in design and horticulture through educational lectures, panel discussions, and book signings. Among those top names is entrepreneur, bestselling author, Emmy award-winning television host, and this year’s keynote speaker Martha Stewart.
After a cancelled (and greatly missed) show in 2021, event chairs Ashley Smith and Julia Spickard are overjoyed to have curated an extraordinary lineup of featured speakers and moderators that bridge the worlds of entertaining, gardening, and design.
In addition to a keynote lecture with Martha Stewart, attendees can enjoy programming such as “The Making of a Garden Over 30 Years,” a lecture by renowned designer, author, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and Honorary Chair Bunny Williams. Other offerings include “A Conversation with Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin of The Home Edit,” moderatedby Gen Sohr of Pencil & Paper Co.; and a design panel titled “LexTalks Live led by Alexa Hampton in conversation with.
Jenn and Mike Gracie, Christopher Spitzmiller, and Ashley Whittaker,” which gives audiences an inside look at the careers and stories behind some of the design world’s top names.
“We’re proud to present the amazing talent speaking at the 2022 show on the common sentiment that home is where your story begins,” says co-chair Julia Spickard. “We’re also honored to have Gracie Studios providing the design inspiration for this year’s theme, which has been translated into an exclusive design created just for the show.”

This year’s event also offers attendees the chance to interactively experience three phenomenal garden displays presented by accomplished landscape designers. Among the renowned garden designers are Anne Daigh and Wade Rick of Daigh Rick, who will present the East Garden with a breathtaking structure built by one of Nashville’s top builders, West Cook Builders, along with Joseph Hillenmeyer, whose showcase design will feature a spectacular Hartley Botanic Greenhouse in the West Garden. Additionally, the exquisite design for Cheekwood’s botanical entry exhibition will be led by Cheekwood’s Vice President of Gardens and Facilities, Peter Grimaldi.
Beyond the incredible itinerary, it’s the charitable component of the Antiques & Garden Show that remains at the heart of it all. Since it began in 1990, the annual philanthropic event has raised over $8.5 million for its beneficiaries. This year’s proceeds will benefit two tremendously worthy institutions: Cheekwood Estate and Gardens, and ECON Charities. Cheekwood, the beloved 55-acre American Country Place Era estate, serves as a public botanical garden, arboretum, and art museum. ECON Charities, established by the Economic Club of Nashville, serves charitable organizations dedicated to enhancing and improving the lives of children and families throughout the greater Nashville area.
As the longest running and most prestigious show of its kind nationwide, the Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville offers something new and exceptional to be discovered each day. (antiquesandgardenshow.com)
